Being something of a researcher I came across these recordings of the late Dr Claire Weekes 🙂

I hope it is okay to post them here ...

Listening righ now. I don't have agoraphobia but it's relatable.
It's incredibly frustrating that all she says makes so much sens, and I know it too. But when the crappy sensations come, I seem to forget that it's not dangerous. I even feel silly when it passes. But I can't seem to learn.

The first time I started out on my journey I used hypnotherapy, especially the stuff by Dr Steven Gurgevich cognitive behavioural therapy, EMDR, Dr Claire Weekes, the book " Freedom From Fear " by the late Dr Howard Liebgold, "The Anxiety & Phobia Workbook " by Dr Edmund Bourne, " Psychocybernetics" by Dr Maxwell Maltz and loads of other stuff that I cannot remember at the moment ... I think I just got to a tipping point where I said " F**k it " and accepted and just let the anxiety do it's work and didn't dwell on the fact or any of the sensations and in time it seemed to recede ... A few setbacks but I was okay for a fair few years until I ended up in the mother of all setbacks last week due to too much stress which crept up slowly and now I am trying to remember what I actually did again.

OUstanding posts. I bought Dr. Weeke's book after my first setback in 2010. A year later, I bought her CD, which I currently have in my car (I sometimes have issues driving, but sometimes, hearing her voice is very calming vice listening to music.) She know's what she's talking about, so I hope every person who has an anxiety and panic disorder will invest in her work.

I read you sometimes have issues with anxiety when driving, I have yet to come across anyone else who has the same?

I have Dr. Weeks' CD also and found it to be very helpful. I used to have periods of anxiety and panic attacks while I was driving to work. Mostly it was because I was already anxious because of other issues and not the traffic. But the being on the freeway while having a panic attack just intensified it for me. It's a slow process, been anxious as long as I can remember, but I feel I've made some huge leaps in progress since I've subscribed to Paul's e-mails and reading his book. Thank you Paul!
