Hi there, I used to have this problem. This happened a lot when I would get my blood pressure taken, for example. So if the reading was always a little on the high side. I found that breathing deeply in the waiting room helped a bit. But, most important, is remembering that it is all a function of high anxiety, rather than something more sinister.

I too have this from time to time even when I go to the dentist. I think the common denominator is the reading of blood pressure as this was the catalyst for a panic attack I had 3 years ago. a higher than normal reading triggers the thought that I will repeat that dreaded day again and this gets me nervous. It is good to know that this is normal. Ive checked it at home and when it comes out a little high, I get nervous then I will relax. ill check it one more and it is normal. ta da!!
